Just ordered and received the 20 & 30 from you guys, can’t wait to start using them. Good to see the designer explain the features, manufacturers labels and websites rarely show this and risk users not taking full advantage of the features (manufacturers please note this).

Beautiful product. Just wanted to ask you guys if the Veil XP 20 is suitable to carry a laptop?

The first things that struck me on seeing and wearing mine was: The light material on the pewter colourway is more a medium grey than, say the off-white of the latok 20 or veil 12. The material is very thin and light. The left hip pocket is not zipped like the right - I wish it was. The belt seems designed to sit just below the rib-cage, like the UD fast-pack or the Gecko VP12.

Any idea of the max carry weight for the 30? I wanna try use this for multi day treks but not sure if I need something a bit more robust. Love the features though.

Why no shoulder compression straps? At 30 L I imagine it builds up considerable momentum and as it towers high above the main shoulder strap attachment points it will draw backwards and away from your body, every impact absorption phase of every step. It's meant for running and speedhiking, no?

Could you wear this with a harness? Also when the pack is full can you look upwards if wearing a helmet without banging your head on the bag.

My Veil XP 30 arrived yesterday. I put 4.5kg in there and tried to fasten the compression strap. Ripped right off. The quality of my pack is absolutely shocking. I emailed Rab about it and hope this is a bad batch as I really like the concept. If this is a general problem, I’m staying away from this product unfortunately.
