i went through an abusive relationship and a horribly rough breakup mid to late 2016, and your songs were my therapy. I remember lying in bed, listening to everything (including this, which is already bringing back so many memories) while I was trying to get through all the things that were falling apart in my life. You were always such an idol to me. Now it's 2018 and I'm alive and safe with someone who loves me, and I'm so grateful to still be here listening to your music to this day. And I'm so fucking happy that you're getting out there making a name for yourself. You're an amazing person that I felt I've healed alongside. I know this is super dramatic and whatnot, but I really need to thank you. You're my favorite artist Jake, Fuck, I should be thanking you with more than with just a youtube comment.

This song has brought me so many good and bad memories. It's helped me through many rough times, kept my chin up and made me realize that I should focus on myself rather than trying to make other people happy.
