My American Akita weight is about 100lbs. His daily food intake became out to be 1960 calories 😱
100lbs * 2.2 = 45.45kgs
70(45.45)^0.75 = 1225.40
1225.40* 1.6 =1960.65
I didn’t realize that he needs to eat this much food daily. I hope I did the calculations right.

I have 2 Siberian huskies, 60lbs and 75lbs, both of which I'd say are pretty average activity wise, sometimes slightly above, and by their weight they should be eating around 1400 and 1800 calories; However, they only maintain a healthy weight on 600-1000 calories, so breed definitely matters as in my example huskies only need about half as much as another dog their size, as they're built to moderate their calorie burn, although I do feel like I'm starving them sometimes, I'm really not.

I've been religiously following your videos for the past year so thank you! I have 3 dogs, a Maltese, a Goldie and an Alsatian. Just wondering why do small dogs require a higher amount of food per body weight compared to larger dogs? Would love to hear your feedback!!

I recently got my Cane Corso puppy (first do in a few years and I always vowed that when next I have a dog I'd try raw feeding). Your videos have been very informative, explanitory and encouraging. Also downloaded your cheat sheet which is very helpful. The one question is have though is which category of raw foods does eggs fall under?
