Nitroglycerin is used in some medical practices yes but I think what the developers were going for was the fact that it is extremely explosive which makes sense in the fact that the perk involves exploding. He probably just thought this as google doesn’t really like to put up explosives materials on the front page if it doesn’t have to so it say the medical purposes
