All it takes is a few visuals and a few words to tell a transformative story.

My name is Doug Neill and I'm passionate about helping others reach their full creative potential. I teach a skill called sketchnoting (also known as visual note-taking and graphic recording), which for me is a gateway to doing better work. Check out the resources below for more info.

I’d been wanting to learn sketchnoting and was feeling like I was being lazy and procrastinating... this video made me realize I’ve been doing for months. My sister told me that my 4 year old niece loves getting mail and because I love writing and drawing, I’ve been making it a point to write to her every week. I’ve been telling her stories about my cats, what’s growing in my garden and and things I’ve learned about animals and figured it’d be more interesting to a kid to illustrate those things. So I’ve been religiously watching all your videos, practicing my sketchnote storytelling without even recognizing it. Thanks (belatedly) for the inspiration!

Every time you use the word actionable it really grates! I was taught that actionable means “giving sufficient reason to take legal action.” I guess this is the generation gap. 🤷‍♀️
