This is always my go-to example of how thoughtless and soulless most modern Star Wars/Disney media is. Such a stupid answer to a question absolutely no one asked.

I feel like such an outcast that this is the only thing everyone unanimously hates about Disney Star Wars but I liked it. I don't think the issue here is with Han choosing the name Solo to describe himself, it's that its this is 'the moment' it happens. It feels forced and unnatural. I do not think its a stupid idea that Han called himself Han Solo to join the Empire because he didn't have a last name. That is perfectly fine.
