Technology isn’t the issue, it’s the parenting, parents want Tech to raise their kids so they don’t have to. It can be a great tool, but should not be more influential than the parent.

True, kids should be in the playground, not in front of screens

I swear this, that i will do anything, to raise my future children myself, along with someone else, with little to no technology.

This is actually a good thing, These days we have information at our fingertips literally ask google the height of the CN tower or medical questions. People are realizing education isn’t as good as their parents taught them unless you want to become a Doctor or Lawyer etc.. Focus on learning what you care about. I was born in 2001 & I remember as a child my father told me if I didn’t memorize multiplication I would suffer for the rest of my life & I definitely DIDN’T MEMORIZE CRAP & YOU DON’T NEED TO RETAIN KNOWLEDGE THAT ISN’T BASIC, THE WORD NEED IS DANGEROUS IT’S ABOUT WHAT INTERESTS YOU & ALSO WHAT WOULD HELP YOU GROW I FIND THAT KIDS IN HIGH SCHOOL ARE LEARNING THINGS THAT IS NOT RELATED TO ANYTHING THEY NEED AND OUR BRAIN HAS RAM LIKE A COMPUTER AND WE WANT TO FILL IT WITH INFO THAT ISNT THERE AND ITS WORSE WHEN YOU NEVER EVEN CHOSE THE TOPIC AND THE CURRICULUM IN SOME 3rd world countries are pure fucking Garbage.

We all know of Book smart vs Street Smart BUT being book smart doesn’t even have to be a bad thing anymore it’s just the curriculum that is the issue pls focus on your interests what would you do if you weren’t trying to make a fucken living. Pay damn rent & work to pay it again it’s depressing that being deserving of something isn’t related to desire but it’s related to doing something unenjoyable so make sure your career is your passion plz

Yes, yes we are. Even I got a phone at the age of 11, and was kept away from it very strictly. And now, as I’m free to use it whenever and how long I want, I am grateful for being taught that too much screentime is bad. I learned that particularly during the Covid lockdown. And my children won’t get a phone until they’re at least 10 y/o. Why? Because I wanna teach them how important real friends and real interaction with mates is

Technology is how i cope with the childhood trauma and the abuse ive dealt with, both my mind and my body cannot take the damage it was given, I'd probably be 6 feet under if i didnt have technology to comfort me, and its sad that things have to be this way, its sad that this is what we resort to when we have nobody in our lives to give us support or any sort of positive energy, some of us never even had a childhood

Even tho I was born in '09, I still spent time in nature, outside, I only got my first CRAPPY phone when I was 7, not an iphone 13 for a first phone.. it's so sad to see that the last good parents are fading away.. when I have kids they will be spending time: in nature, playing outside with their friends and not using some fucking ipads and technology for their whole childhood..

I. Will. Live. In. Nature. No. Doubt.

True parents need to stop feeding their kids technology from such a young age i didn’t even have a phone until i was 12? compared to kids who got one at 8-9 and i stayed off social media until i was about 15 and it was one of the best things i had done for myself because i wasn’t on snapchat arguing with people at school and doing dumb shit

Yeah. My sister (3) has been having electronics since she was about 1. I (13) has had my first electronic at about 7 or 8

If somehow the dependency on technology reduces and human skill is given focus, we can still prevent a drastic future.

Im so glad I grew up normally, playing in sand boxes and spending the whole time outside. Next generation = ruined

I’m not giving my futures kids a phone until they’re 10. Just toys or go on a bike or out with friends.
