Mark I've been following you for some time now. I appreciate your candor as many ppl seem to mention. I play the Chrome Soft but have tried the X. I am in total agreement with you in reference to the performance and sound. Off the tee the X sounds and actually feels a little better to me and instills confidence that it was a good strike, yet in reality there's no difference in the distance if so it's a matter of 3-5 yards if that. Keep doing what your doing love your posts.

I love the feel of the Crome soft and the soccer ball look. Never tried the x. Also you can get them on sale for $20 ( not often) lol

I love the chrome soft balls with the soccer ball print. Mainly for the wedge shots and putting, you can see the ball spinning so well. I don’t notice any improvement in my driving but I do like having a ball that is easy to find and recognise.

Just tested the Chrome soft x for the first time yesterday and I really felt a big difference. Maybe additionally because I gamed the old Chrome softs. Especially of the tee I had the feeling to have a better control over the balls.

Great video, love the Chrome soft, switched to them after was given a sleeve for free. Thought it was a novelty ball at first as it looks like a football. Absolutely love the Callaway, and after watching an earlier review from Mark - I had the scientific data which further cemented my belief in this ball. I’ve tried a few top brands out and the Callaway is second to none. If your thinking to switch brands, then give this a go as you won’t be disappointed.

Mark can you do the same test for the Taylormade TP and TPx? I had a problem with the TP spinning back to hard on wedge shots but when I switched to the TPx it would sit and stop without sucking back. Since they are coming out with new balls maybe try TP5 vs. TP5x. Cheers brah!

Thanks for a great vid mark. What would you say about choosing which one based on their compression rates?
If my personal club speed is 100-105 am I really losing distance with the chrome sort and better off with the X?

I’ve also noticed that Callaway markets the X ball as being more workable, with the standard Chromesoft being a straighter flighting ball. It would be interesting to see data to back this up

Great video. Any chance of a review between chrome soft and supersoft in winter uk course. I was playing the trivia this winter but got some supersoft and felt it was equal to the chrome soft for the Scottish winter but much cheaper.
