Hi, I'm Mark and I've been teaching and playing guitar professionally for 26 years now, and I've picked up a lot of insights along the way; things I wish I had known when I started out. That's why I started this channel - to share this knowledge with you.

But this is more than just a place to learn guitar. It's also place where you can hang out, relax, be yourself, get support, make friends and get inspired to have more fun with your guitar. So go ahead. Pick up your axe. Hit play. And be a better guitarist.

Thanks for watching!
Regards, Mark

I have been all over YouTube trying to get a grasp of scales...you make it easy to understand...thank you!!!

agreed with this guy

the advantage of the guitar is that scales can be Seen in a Shape.
Box, or triangle etc.

not like on a piano where the layout of the keys doesn't lend itself to Scale Shapes.
A guitar lends itself to being seen as a shape,

to shift keys, just move scale shapes up or down.
Yes, take advantage of how the instrument is laid out,
perhaps the person who invented the guitar ment it to be so!

Hey Mark, thanks for another awesome lesson. I've been watching your vids for quite a while now and can't remember ever seeing you post any full covers. It would be so cool to see you perform one of your favorite songs just for fun.

! I like the way you explain stuff and not restricting someone to a certain way of doing something ! Best guitar teacher ever ! Thanks A LOT .

Excellent Video clip! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (google it)? It is a great one of a kind product for mastering guitar scales minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend at last got excellent success with it.

I've been playing for a few years, But I need to back up to learn some theory. And to be truthful I have no idea what this guy is trying to teach you people. I'll watch number 2 just to see if he starts to do anything useful, But so far this is useless & misleading.  He's is simply showing a scale his way, silly
