Fun fact: The ‘Hedge’ part of their name comes from where they build their nests hedges, bushes, and shrubs. The ‘hog’ part comes from the small snorting/ grunting sound they make which is similar to a pig/warthog.

I miss my little Hedgie’s, he was stubborn but would let you hold him once he was out of his cage. He lived a full and grumpy life 😂 and yes that is him in my profile pic

When my girlfriend was a kid, a hedgehog lived around her summer house and came up for treats.
Then the hedgehog disappeared for a couple weeks… and eventually came back to introduce her babies to the humans.
