When the Canadian truckers protested a couple of years ago, their bank accounts were closed. As were the bank accounts of anyone seen to be helping them in ANY way. EVEN the accounts of cafes, coffee shops and ordinary people who bought coffee to give to the protesting truckers. THIS is where we are headed in Britain, and it is very UGLY INDEED.

Utterly appalling. Disgusting. Upsetting. Blatant prejudicial behaviour, and, if you take it to the nth degree - banks want a cashless society - so in theory someone could have no bank account, lots of cash, but no way of paying a bill or buying anything. That's called adrift from society - through the actions of banks. Refusing peoples' money on the basis of the customer not aligning with various banking industry political views is frankly the stuff of nightmares. Stay strong Nigel. This country needs you.
