Cost aside, just the scale of the initiative defies reason. This is a fantasy land. Do “greenies” realise how much steel is necessary to make one wind mill ? How much electricity is required to extract iron ore, than produce, transport steel ? Of course it has nothing to do with saving the planet. There are many other factors as well. Iron ore comes from the ground as well. Not a fossil fuel but a natural resource. Only idiots can be arrogant enough to believe that we have any control over wind or generally climate. We are part of a solar system, which has much more influence on the climate that we, human do. Madness. I am not against using natural sources of energy, but it has to be upon a rational thinking.
