I have been using grow bags with big holes for figs with out too much soil loss without blocking holes.

How do you over winter your fig trees that are in pots? Do you leave them in a shed without any heat? Do you bring them in the house to keep them warm? How often do you water them during the winter?

You ever try seeing if a fig will grow in the ground out in the elements in your area if it's already pretty big when you plant it? I hear of New Yorkers doing it, but maybe Mass is too far north?

Do you prune all your figs to grow in one stem tree form? Is that better them multiple stem bush type growth?
