From Joe Gannon the appliance doctor. He recommended a damp wipe with white vinegar. I used a paper towel to accomplish this. In addition I left the paper towel on the switch overnight. It’s now been 6 weeks of flawless operation. White vinegar a mild acid, cleaned the contacts sufficiently to restore normal operation. cheap and easy to try ! Thanks man this helped me. My cruise control wasn’t engaging when you mentioned the switch get them filled up with the dirt. Also other stuff like water and food that take my mind so I decided to tap my French push control button multiple times that may be squashed the dirt or whatever that was in between so now it’s working just fine. great video's, but I have a question, for newer vehicles, does the Security gateway Module need to be by passed first when when using the the Autel Scanners MaxiCOM? or is it as simple as using the regular OBD2 port? thank you.

2013 Chrysler 300s cruise control wasn't working. Not faults, bad fuse, or bad relay. Control switch on brake pedal malfunctioned. Gave the switch arm a couple strikes (push back with finger and let it go) works good.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2012. I was tweaking some settings using JScan and ended up losing the cruise indication coming up on dash. I checked all buttons are getting registered as per this video. Brake switch is also functional. Any clues what might went wrong? Also reset the ECM/ECU but didnt work out. Any help is welcome

Would the break light still come on if the break switch isn't working. I don't have that tool to diagnose it.

There is no dedicated fuse for the cruise control, it’s controlled by the clock spring behind the steering wheel

Press and hold for a few seconds (+) and (-) buttons - that is how I reset my cruise control on Dodge Ram 1500 year 2017.
It works !!!
I have done it while driving - be careful! Try it others way. Good luck.

Modules use the brake pedal to disengage the cruise control when depressed. No signal to stop cruise control no functionality for it to run.

I have a jeep jk wangler you can turn the cruise control switch on and set your speed, it will set but will only stay on for only about 20 to 30 seconds and kicks off, you can hit resume and it will go back to the speed that was set but eventually kicks off again, any ideas?

My cruise control fails to engage when it is hot outside. The problem is intermittent. However this year the problem did not occur until just today, July 3rd, even though we've had 100 degree days before now. But during the fall, winter, and Spring, the cruise control works reliably. But when it gets warm to hot outside it gets intermittent or doesn't work at all. Have any of you had this problem, and if so how did you repair it? Thank you.

first my vauxhall zafira a's cruise stopped working and repairshop changed the clutch switch dunno why not change cruise switch just a thought afterwards after that i noticed my brake lights didnt work at all and they changed the brake switch and after that my car didnt stop running even without key and lights on so now the brake switch is taken off... dunno where to go from here, any tips appreciated about whats next gotta try to repair it myself or atleast diagnose problem.

Mine was not working I had oil over due I did a reset, after that it didn’t work so I saw a video the guy said press the wide blank button above the On/Off and RES+ button pressed it a few times and tried pressing the On/Off button it started working I still have airbag sign and my cruise is working now 😊

You can turn your cruise control on through the menu system too if you want to troubleshoot to see if it is switches
