There seems to be a focus right now on Ecuatoriano Typico food. Which is how it should be! KWA's new restaurant in Guayaquil being an example of that.

My personal opinion is that after the US election, the dollar will surge. Ecuador's economy will get a boost from that. There will be more investment and jobs, but it's up to Ecuador to keep that going.

You have a large number of Coriestas in Ecuador. Like the US and it's political divisions: you need to take that passion and understand you need to unite with your fellow Ecuadorians somehow to be able to move this country forward. Noboa may not be everyone's favorite, but I think he actually has a good vision of how Ecuador can become greater in the future. I think he has a plan for anti-corruption, anti-gangs (cartels), security, jobs and investment that will be good for all Ecuador. HEY! He just arrested some Transitos! Who wouldn't agree with that?

I have lived here no for 6 months, been with my Ecuatoriana wife for 20 years. I love Ecuadorian food... but it took me 3 tries to find an Encebolada that I thought was good. Mote pillo is so damn good, Bistek con Bolon is delicious, ceviche is still not something I want to eat, Guatita... nope nope, Tigrillo is great, Corviche is good stuff.
