It is so great that Lily is letting you help her do DIY and also training you while doing it.

Love that you are educating on the potential for asbestos being in these things. It sure does look like potential asbestos containing mastic but I've come across tons as well that look like it but don't test positive.

The hardest worker! Rolling poly, caked out, and getting it done! ❤

The wall looks really nice, it's a great way to get the look without the cost. Nicely done! Hope you plan on a mini series and show the rest of the room transformation. TY

Painting the wall black will give nice shadow lines between planks. Nice job, both of you.

At this point you are basically a GC. You are better than me. I would have ended up getting frustrated, ripping the whole wall down, drywalling and then put the slats on ha

That black stuff on the walls was probably adhesive used when the wainscotting was installed. Good job.

Nice job, have to advise against stacking planks and running through a table saw, really setting yourself up for kick back.

Hi! Looks amazing! One thing though about the outlet to stay up to code and to be on the safe side especially this being in your daughters room ❤Home Depot or Lowe’s carry extender outlet boxes so it’s still protected and allows you to place it outside of the plank. The way you pulled it out of the box even a little probably wouldn’t pass inspection code? . It’s super easy to do! I just did this in my home! Anyways! Love your channel! Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a really good project idea for a kid because it's so affordable. Obviously people don't normally use such thin plywood like this, but it doesn't matter if the kid likes it. Nothing lasts forever. Other kids have posters and finger paint and holes in their walls. What are you gonna do. 😂🎉

I wouldn't have thought to leave spaces between the boards. Maybe I have a lot of bugs, but I picture spider webs between the boards 😅

Just be careful, the plywood is so thin that it will show any imperfection you do need a solid wall behind it or several studs to support it.

Love the choice of wood but the perfectly alternating lined up edges on the right side are distracting. Better to overlap all the planks by 1/3

5:22 Isn't it nice to have to correct mistakes someone make in 1953?

I love your work...except for this one. 1/8" is too thin to be attached away from the wall surfaces--- they will be wavy, and you'll be able to see behind it. Also--moving the receptacle out like that just will have the wall plate holding it in. When something gets plugged in you'll just break the wall plate. I do like the look, but not the application.

American houses seem so weak. You just have to lean too hard against the wall to make a hole in it
