If you were to do this again, would you remove the baseboard and add a bottom plate and maybe a top plate that matches the mdf you used? Want to do this but my baseboards are quite thin and am concerned it may look odd. Thanks.

Was it harder to paint the MDF strips after nailing them to the wall? Why not paint everything beforehand?

Can you measure the distance between the bottom boards. Trying to figure out how far apart to put them.
