They have to cut their own lawn and clean their own house. The nightmare.

I make 41k in the social work field. After taxes and insurance thats 2400 bucks a month. I picked up a second part time job paying minimum wage, and that brings in another 1000. So 3400 bucks a month, working 55-60 hrs a week. Im throwing every freakin cent at debt. I havent bought clothes or shoes in a year. I cook all my meals at home cheap. I make 50 a week stretch. If this is a real budget, they dont know how blessed they really are.

My "food" budget includes eating out; whatever I may have left over after grocery shopping is available for eating out and if there's nothing left over, I don't eat out.

Use that 50 for the chick fil a run and put it towards groceries. Put resturant at 0 and put groceries to 500. Meal prep and left overs go along way

They should cut out TV too.
Without TV you’re going to have your lawn look immaculate & house spotless.
You’ll have time to invest in yourself with knowledge. ✌🏽

450 usd for groceries for 2 people per month and they are living on beans and rice? What kind of fancy rice is that hahaha.

Just throwing this out there. My husband has heart & asthma issues. I have serious arthritis problems. We can’t do yard work. I can dust, vacuum a little at a time, but I cannot scrub anything-bathrooms, floors, windows, etc. Everyone throwing shade needs to take that into account as a possibility.

I have a housekeeper that comes once a week. For my mental health, it is worth it. I would rather not eat. Plus I am giving a woman a job that she can do while her kids are at school.

Geez, I make under $1450 a month, $7000 a month would pay off all of my and my wife's debt in a matter of months. We feed a family of 6 on $250 or less a week, we have no housecleaner other than myself (stay at home stepdad), no lawn services except myself and the kids, we eat restaurant food every few nights (usually fast food). We have 2 cars, and both are used. My wife makes about $45k a year, and a lot of the stuff that the house needed to be fixed were simple things I have been able to take care of myself as I come from a family that isn't afraid to take on DIY.

At least she was kind enough to include a takeout night. Realistic goals.

$450 is definitely a doable grocery budget. My husband and I budget for $400 a month and we are usually spending closer to $320, or about $80 a week.

You obviously have not been to Reston, Virginia. Stuff is pricey here. It’s not unheard of for me to spend $200 or more a week on groceries just for myself.

I wish I was making $7, 000 a month, and I'm working 2 jobs right now!
