Last year I found out the wife and I had to move in with her mother. So, I spent a total 12k and built a 10×20 bungalow in her back yard. Took 3 months. One 25 amp inlet powers everything. Fridge, stove, water heater, incinerator toilet...best money and best work I've ever invested, as living in the in laws house would have been a nightmare.

It's a trailer. This is not a new concept. But if calling it a 'tiny house' will de-stigmatize trailers or mobile homes, and those who chose to live in them, I'm all for it :)

I am so loving these Japan videos! Showing how other countries can live without killing yourself with rent. Great job Cash 😊 When I moved to Indianapolis 6 years ago I wasn't sure where I wanted to live. I bought a mobile home for 8K. 3 bedroom/1 bath and I fixed her up. I redid the kitchen and bathroom. Updated roof and landscape. Put in new hot water heater and updated central airTotal cost $12k. Lived there 2 years and sold it for 12k. Rent free living! 😊

Cash, I have to say this. I am not interested in renting in New York or Japan or moving into a tiny house though I do love both places. I watch your videos because they are incredibly interesting. Your descriptions of the surrounding neighborhoods and cultural influences to the rental property are the bread to this sandwich. Your descriptions of the properties is a great example on how to highlight the positives in a place. I'll be back. Thank you!

The builder definitely has a heart for his fellow human being; not to mention the skill to accomplish such an amazing living space. Thanks for giving us hope that buying a home in today's economy is possible.

the tiny home is practical but here in the US it’s met by resistance and regulations. government wants taxes and if the tiny home can’t be taxed then the tiny home is not permitted. i live in california and i believe there are only two official sites that are truly tiny home communities. one in San Diego up in the mountain area and one in northern california along the delta. i do love the tiny home concept because i’m a senior citizen and i don’t need a lot of space. still searching for something like what you’ve shown on your video. thanks !! show more please😊

Tiny house and tiny apartment videos are so much more fun to watch than big apartment videos!

This is the second tiny space that is so much better than the garbage in NY. They come with a kitchen and bathroom. Other cities could learn a lot from Japan.

I had lived in Japan for many years in the past. Totally fell in love with its unit bathroom technology. Super easy to clean, material was all made of plastic, the floor was not cold, the pressure of water from shower was perfect. I miss Japan

Dude, I'm fairly new here, having only discovered your channel over the weekend. Been enjoying going back over your content and I have to say, I'm not just impressed by the quality of your videos, the editing and presentation etc, but also your work ethic; for the quality of what you're uploading and the speed of your uploads, you are really on the grind, man! A lot of Youtubers could take some inspiration from you.
Nice work, bud.

Jordan, if you’re interested in these types of homes. There is a USA tiny home company that builds homes similar to this, with prices starting at $20k~. They have a YouTube channel as well; and post daily.

Company/YouTube: “Incredible Tiny Homes”

Located: Newport, Tennessee!

Your tiny home reminded me the ones used by the 2011 tsunami survivors, there were even small temporary villages of these tiny homes. Very few of them remained after the affected areas were rebuilt.

Hey, I'm Japanese and have been watching this channel for some months now (mainly the ones about how New York has declined), but had no idea Cash was married to a Japanese lady, and was already in Japan :)

There is a guy in TN that is building beautiful, AFFORDABLE tiny homes. The problem is that so many states have regulations around them as to where they can be located, it becomes a pain to maintain. The guy, Randy, used to build regular homes in Nashville. He has also built a place to put them that is affordable lot rents. You should hook up with him and visit his store.

these little houses are so cool. love seeing these types of buildings. Japanese people have some excellent design ideas . you don't need a fancy big area you just need something practical to live in .

Miss Violet, superstar. Loved the tiny houses, great idea for short to medium term living especially if you are trying to save for a regular house. Thanks to Kanami for her translations and local knowledge. Can't wait for your next adventure Cash.

In rural Japan you can buy old homes for less than 10, 000 usd My friend did it it’s beautiful. There’s so many abandon homes in the countryside in Japan you can literally get a steel on a house, and a lot of them come fully furnished.

Although I love seeing Cash on a daily basis, it is really neat to see the Mrs. and little one. Violet is a camera ham!

I had to like the video three times. Firstly because it takes place in Japan, once because you can't help but value properties even when you're on vacation, and once because your family supports you as a real estate agent.
