Exploring Islamic Villages in Albania | Many Albanians Convert to Islam

Albania is recorded as one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in Europe. According to data released by the Pew Research Center, the number of Muslims in Albania in 2010 reached 82.1 percent of the total population of 2.8 million people. The growth of Islam in Albania has experienced quite an encouraging increase in the last two decades.

In 1990, the Muslim population of Albania was still 2.3 million people or around 70 percent of the total population. Today, that number has increased to 2.6 million people.

We are very careful about our Akidah, In 1991 they were school, medressa, and institution were, and are still open teaching of islam, Fikh, Akida, Science, Quran Tefsir, and more . Students went to study further abroad , Saudi, Egypt .Kuwait, and more, .. Came back and are teaching us . It seems to me that your documentary defines different time spaces and realities than those that exist in our country everyone believes in what they want to believe, be it Islam, Catholicism or harmony and human harmony surpass the perception of Albania as a country with so many different beliefs....they simply live together as people, never having in mind which religion or faith they belong to...I think the world is divided into good and bad people....religions are the private desires and experiences of every person on Planet Earth, which must be respected

In the 1990s I fundraise to help the Albanians, but as a people they had no meaning to me. In Dec 2024, I had a very important service arranged for me by the Albanian centre in London, today.26th Feb 2025, I see a video on utube about Albania of which I find interesting I have an emphatic feelings towards them. Maybe I will go and visit the centre.

Islam was in Albania. It's not a new discovery. Thanks, the opening of Namazgah Mosque from the Hr. President of Turkiye Erdogan, is a new thinking light in the life of many Albanians. They were proofed with arheism and communism from 1944, with newly theory of "modern" thinking, life, acts. Maybe GOD almightly has smth better for Albanians that they need to think about it. Maybe the grand sons and daughters of moslems have an light from ALLAH. We must pray.
Special thanks goes to people of ISKODRA, Shkoder for their force of Iman that made Communists to reopen the first, Mosque of lead . at 3 November 1990, and the first Catholic Church closed for more than 30 years from Communist Party of Albania. It was the beginning of democracy.

Not really accurate with the percentage. I'm an albanian myself and never felt that islam is getting bigger here in albania
