I peel and dice whole pineapples into 200 pieces no bigger than a sugar cube or bouillon cube.

I then take a week or so to eat it in small batches.

Never had any problems yet.

What is it mean that "Bromelain digests protein" ? It means we feel a little lighter in our stomach and get rid of the heaviness of meat? or it means the protein rich better to body ? or what ?

Bromelain is most concentrated in the core (or stem) of the pineapple. When isolated, it is commonly used as a meat tenderizer (your tongue = meat). In supplement form, it is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties. Pineapple is the only food known to contain bromelain, an enzyme that digests protein. The truth is when you consume the core of a pineapple the bromelain is digesting the tender skin inside of your mouth causing an extreme burning sensation. Eat the core at your own risk.

They have a tool that makes cutting up pineapple easy but I don't know the name/: It also makes it possible to take out the entire core. It's like a wine bottle opener.
