History of the iPod 2014

Arguably one of the most important devices ever made, the iPod changed the way we listen to music. Watch as it is transformed and revamped year after year, selling over 350 million units by 2012. Popularity of the iPhone caused a decline in iPod sales and many are unsure of its future as it continues to be cannibalized (perhaps rightfully so) by the feature-filled iPhone.

I think the decline of ipod sales isn't due to the iphone alone. The availability of cheaper android devices allowed much more people access to the smarthphone market. Not to mention the arrival of tablets and mini tablets. All of those have contributed to the decrease of ipod popularity. Cool video!

My favourites have to be iPod Classic 3rd-4th gen, the iPod Minis and the iPod Nano 5th gen (this is the only one I ever had). They just look so iconic.
