iPod Classic meets its end

I have an iPhone but still use my classic. 160 fucking gigabytes. That's insane! I hold all my music and videos on there. I'm so hurt that they stopped making this. I suppose I understand, but I think it's important for a company to remember it's roots. The classic was the one device that held onto Apple's roots. Yeah they made computers before hand, but this device revolutionized mp3 players. Sad to see it go. RIP :(

Music is my life! I never know what music I'll be in the mood for when I'm on the go. It's nice to have the iPod Classic so I can take my entire collection with me. I'm currently at 14, 801 songs with a few videos and movies.

I have never owned an ipod. My first music device was a CD player that I got in 1997. It saw little use as I only used my sisters CD's for it. In 2006 I got a PSP and put 700 songs it. I played music on it until 2008 when I got a 4GB Sony Walkman MP3 player, then in 2011 I upgraded it to the current version I have now. It has over 900 songs on it. It is 12 GB's awesomeness. Both MP3 players have helped me with a lot of stress in my life.

I wanna get another 160gb iPod Classic before they truly stop selling them. Lost my old one. It was everything to me.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The reason why some people are frustrated by this move is because the iPod is a music listening device for purists...not everyone cares for apps, and Facebook. Sure we have spotify, beats music, and our music collection in the cloud, but what about just sitting down and just listening to music and not fiddling around with your phone? What if you don't have internet connection to stream your music off of the cloud? There are a lot of people that have huge music collections and a 16gb iPhone won't cut it, especially after they're formatted. It's the same reason why some people want to listen to a vinyl record instead of a cd. The nostalgia and simplicity take full effect of the listening experience.

Soon music will be in our headphones (Micro chip in headphones). I only use my ipod for working out. I don't like using apps for working out. I use my phone for a picture taking, calls & etc. I didn't think digital cameras would be left in the dust. The reason why they are being left I. The dust is because of phones. Soon the camera feature for a cellphone will have high resolution like a digital HD camera. Sad to see the classic iPod go but technology is advancing rapidly.

happy to say i never owned an ipod. everyone i knew had at least one broken one. what a total gyp. i've owned several sansas. none of them have ever broken. not once.

iPod classic lives on virtually in the iPhone 6 plus. Virtual click wheel.

the "official story" was that Apple lost access to a few vendors that were supplying it with the necessary parts to build the iPods - and supposedly, that why it chose to discontinue the product line.

We hace basically lost the iPod Now it's a mini iPod touch.
We are left with the shuffle and the iPod touch.
But I'm wondering if the shuffle will receive touch.
So here is what will happen.
The iPod shuffle will stop being made.
The iPod "nano" aka mini iPod touch, will be called the iPod mini.
And the iPod touch will be called the iPod touch classic,

Three years later they all get discontinued.

Then the cycle will re begin with the iwach
