It was helpful to know the difference between gastric ulcers typically presenting pain 20 minutes after eating and duodenal ulcers usually presenting 2 or 3 hours after eating. If a patient has pain ONLY after eating but not persistently throughout the day or night, could is still be an ulcer, or does that point to it more likely being something else?
