Lisa, who's Thai, from BLACKPINK has her birth name-- Pranpriya.
While people in South Bombay are naming their daughters -- Kaira, Shaira, Maira etc.
They'd be like "pranpriya ewww she ain't cool"
But jokes on you,

ramayan is the national book of thai land. its called ramakien there. more than 50% of thai vocabulary come form sanskrit and pali language. names of days of week in thai is similar to hindi, somvar is vansom, buddhvar is vanbudh etc. thai script is similar to sanskrit devnagri in order and used in thailand to write sanskrit as well. buddism is the state religion in thailand (unlike india which is secular). Only a buddist can be the king of thailand. they worship the godess of water "mae khongka" which is ma ganga. ganesha is a very important diety in thailand along with krishna shiva and maa durga. you can find idols of the deity's in every home. its 2564 in thailand cause they count the years from buddha's birth, not Jesus' birth. Indians are called Khairks in thai which also means guest.

When I Translated Sukmawati Sukarnoputri ji's poem, I was suurprised to see that her emotions towards indigenous culture were same as those of Indian Hindus, and reaction of Mull%s there against her poem was also not very different from Indian Mull%s !

In many South East Asian countries, the word for Indian is Keilang from the Kalinga kingdom.

I’m a Tamil speaker. On my last trip to Thailand I noticed that I could read many of the Thai language characters as they are the same as Tamil. They use the same “pallavan” script. Also the temples are of dravidian architecture. The ladies even wear South Indian style saris. Pretty fascinating

One of the reasons why South East Asian noble class intermarried with Indian merchants is because these merchants travelled with highly militarised ships for that time. The tribes of South East Asia, especially the ones in the coast were prone to attacks from pirates. These Indian(Kalingan) merchants often protected these tribes from these pirates so the status of Indians came to be revered as those of Protectors. The merchants also had immense wealth and power so combination of them all made them an elite class in South East Asia. This elite intermarried with the local chief dynasties to form the known Hindu and Buddhist dynasties of South East Asia.

The 'Dharmic' foot print of Bharath across South East Asia is the reason why you find low carbon foot print in the model of life style having reverence for Nature unlike the Abrahamic Etho's which put's Heaven's high above Earth. China inspite of it's Dialectical Materialism as core philosophy still very much is under the 'Arch' of Dharma as evident by it's low carbon foot print compared to its sheer size and industrialisation.
