So great to learn this information before using emergency care, rather than trying to figure it out after the fact. Thank you so much for sharing!

I had to go to the emergency room last month. I told them i was a 100 percent disabled veteran. While I was waiting, this lady came over to help me. She actually works for the VA, and she travels in her area (she's from Philly) she was unbelievably helpful, professional, and friendly. Her father is a Vietnam Veteran too. So a few weeks later i got what I thought was a bill, It was an explanation of benefits. $4, 500.00, completely paid for by the VA. This is an unbelievable benefit. My Medicare co-pay would have been through the roof.

I would like to let you guys know thats not true, I have had to pay EXPRESS SCRIPTS on a certain basis due to the medication for a 90 supply which is what they usually give due to the fact it is MAIL ORDER.... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INFORMATION THOUGH SITREP IS VERY HELPFUL

Hummm, I know mileage reimbursement doesn’t work. Wonder how emergency care would work out? Good thing I’m on Medicare!
