I’m not really sure why YouTube decided I needed to see this… but it was absolutely correct! I don’t have a set up for them but they are adorable and I’m so glad to know about them!

I’m also genuinely excited about the coming snails!

Excellent rundown, you can get them in most gardens if you just laya few leaves in a bit of dirt by the by as a means of easily getting them

Springtails popped up in my blue tongue skink’s enclosure. I didn’t do anything, they just showed up one day. I’ve looked into it extensively, and it seems like this can happen in a lot of ways and they’re likely to be in coconut husk substrate when you buy it.

My colony of little silvery ones just appeared in my enclosures years ago.
Maybe they had been hitching a ride on some feeder snails.
They served me well as a cleanup crew. Then they had a prolonged sabbatical, where they lived in the soil of my plants whilst my enclosures were less natural.
Now, I am returning to a more bioactive kind of setup and so do the springtails...
