Have you shot it yet ? My friend did that to a double barrel, but it actually wasn't his yet it was his dad's. He wanted a mad max gun, and he had to buy his dad another one. How has your ammo you loaded doing ?

But as a survival gun it's lack of a choke makes it nearly useless at anything other than extremely short range. A youth 20ga would have been far better.
