Aside from being a super adorable father son moment and thoroughly entertaining this is actually a superbe example of a teaching moment. Parents are the child’s first teachers and by allowing his son to approximate language and engage him in a “conversation” he is affirming the child’s communication skills and providing a valuable context for language acquisition. Children become literate and communicators by being members of a community that values literacy and communication. Well done dad!
