What a tight match. Both sides just gave it everything. The USA team were just too nervous and we're making so many uncharacteristic mistakes while the French team just played with joy and freedom. It could have gone either way but the USA women pulled away towards the very end. A'ja Wilson truly has been absolutely remarkable and played at her best when it mattered most. Definitely the MVP. Imagine if they lost this match? Everyone would be talking about Caitlin Clark ha! I am glad we would never know. The USA team was always confident till the end.

Two deciding situations both NO Calls that secured the win for USA. 1. Aja Wilsons foul on Marine Johannes that resulted in an open 3 pointer for Kelsey Plum, and the rebound situation where Aja Wilson stepped on the baseline, which should have been challenged and right after she made the 3 point shot that hit the top of the back board.

After many years that U.S was defeated in basketball, the referees help them and give them the free throws as if they haven't other advantages. By the way, it could go to overtime if the referee gave foul for the last shot of the game
