Of course there are ash trays for the back seats. You don't want your kids dropping ashes in the floor!

I don't know why but I find Japanese interiors of that era to be so nostalgic and charming

Few years back, I worked as a tech for Nissan. A fellow technician had a 1984 Accord with 1, 000, 000 miles on the odometer. Could’ve been more but it didn’t surpass 1MIL. Thing drove like a champ 🤙🏽.

This was my first car as a teenager in 1989. Silver w/black interior instead of red. Thanks for the nostalgia!

Those were a hell of a lot better than what Detroit was selling at the time. Really sweet.

Interiors were so cool before the screen craze hit

Ya gotta understand Tommy in 78 most Manuals were 4 speeds so 5 speeds was big deal - over drive!!

Imagine driving that Accord on the roads today would be cool. I would add a third brake light asap if I did drive this.

In 1978 my parents had a Saab wagon with a 2 stroke engine. You had to add oil in the gas tank at each fillup. It also had a rear facing bench seat so us kids could wave and laugh at the driver behind us.
Thanks for sharing this cool old Honda 👍🏻

The first ever Honda Accord was a 1976 with a base price of $3999.00. That included tinted windows, rear window defroster, AM/FM radio, reclining seats, and a few other standard equipment, which was optional on all American cars that competed with these. The waiting lists were quite long on these. My parents had the first 4 door Accord in 1979. Only offered in two colors for the 4 door. Burgundy with burgundy interior, or silver with burgundy interior. As a California car, it was one of the very few cars that could still run on regular leaded gas with no catalytic converter. Speaking of advertising features was the center if the steering wheel that said Power Steering.

I bought one of these. Immediately was recalled for the head gasket issue. Took months to get the part from Japan. One month after it was fixed, it got totalled in a snowstorm in Cleveland. Loved it though while I had it.

I had a 1977 civic CVCC. Great car, couldn't kill it.

My first car was a 1976 Accord. I remember it as a comfortable ride, quiet, and easy on gas (33-34 mpg). They were susceptible to rust, and mine was no exception. I miss driving a stick.

I had a 1983 CVCC (in 2008) for about a year. Ran like a top and a fun city car. Death trap on the freeway.

My first new car was a charcoal gray 1984 LX hatchback 5 speed. A real 'snow monster' with the right tires.
