I was a kid. my late sister holding my hand walking home ...30 blocks to go. my eyes at all times on the moon which would appear and hide in the cloudy night sky...i did wonder why the moon kept following me and no one else. Many years later, this piece brought back those moments when the moon gave me the full attention...i still feel the warmth of my sister's hand. She is my moon now. Hong Kong was a wonderful place in the '50s

my husband loved clair de lune, but had parkinson's, and couldn't remember what it is called. he would say, "play that song i like, please." he died almost 7 years ago, and for a long time, it hurt me to play it. at last, i am able to play it. my cat always sits on the piano bench with me, and she seems to like it, too.

The child of a cousin of mine was going deaf, they knew she had maybe a year left of hearing. I gave her a CD to play to her, with Claire de lune, amongst other beautiful classical and jazz music, hoping this hauntingly beautiful music would stay with her 4 the rest of her life.

I love how people from different parts of the world and different languages can all understand and feel the same music.

It's peaceful, the rising of the sun and the saddening fall of winter over a beautiful pond. Flakes cascade down all around and the tress whisper silent lullabies with the wind as it's melody. The sky envelopes all like a blanket, ones tenderness of a mother's care to those under her delightful watch.

It is to me about a joyous but sad and expected goodbye. When we first met we held each other’s young nervous Unfamiliar hands with anticipation of a life together. In the end of our story we are still holding hands but now old and familiar. It is then we will let go so one can find peace and the rewards promised by our lord.
