Homemade Caesar dressing is simple to make and can be done a few different ways: by hand, in a blender, in a food processor or by using an immersion blender. All methods are simple and quick. I particularly love doing this by hand and enjoy seeing little bits of the garlic and anchovy in the dressing.

Thanks for this great recipe! I use anchovy paste for convenience, a must-have flavor in this dressing. I also added a splash of red wine vinegar just because. Now I want Caesar salad every week.

tip for the garlic and anchovy. get anchovy paste and use that plane grater to grate the garlic it works a lot easier than using a knife!

Making an authentic Caesar salad has been on my bucket list for 20+ years. I can no longer procrastinate because I have to make it for neighborhood dinner tomorrow. I came across this recipe and just did a test run. It turned out better then most of the really good restaurants where I've enjoyed a good tableside Caesar so thank you for the quick easy recipe.
* The only variation I made was adding the cheese at the table and pumping up the mustard a bit. I may add a tiny splash of Worcestershire next time to see if I taste a difference as this is often in the tableside variations I have had.
