I teach in a small space. This game is EXCELLENT because only a few kids are running at a time. The kids love it!

This is one of my favourites to use a substitute. Kids love it and I don't need to fumble around in an equipment room that I'm not familiar with. I've heard it called Cat & Mouse too.

We call this Elbow Tag, The pairs are linked by elbows and release with someone jumping on. Students stand in my class so there isn't so much up and down

I think standing might be better because of the transition time from standing to running. It seems like the tagger would be able to tag the new flee'r while they get up from sitting. Good game

I find when playing this game that some partner groups never get bumped. Also kids constantly slide on the floor trying to get to a group before being tagged. Also, for slow runners they have no success in tagging anyone.

Any suggestions for mitigating these issues?

In Poland children love game "Trzeciak" - is the same :)

As a student in year 8 I have to teach it to year 4's. This is going to be fucking fun.
