As a Malaysian, specifically Sarawakian, we love Anthony Bourdain. Almost feel indebted to him. He talked a lot about our foods and cultures. His phrase "Breakfast of the Gods" to describe our Sarawak laksa will always be remembered. RIP Uncle Tony.

It's f'ing hilarious Anthony Bourdain roasted Jamie Oliver for being a fraud. If Bourdain was alive today, him and Uncle Roger would be kindred souls.

Uncle Roger, Thank you so much for making this weejo. I wept the biggest ugly cry when I heard the news that Uncle Tony had passed; I dont' cry like that over celebrities passing. That day I went out and had Pho for lunch to honor what Anthony Bourdain referred to as "a bowl of something good". He loved diving into a bowl of something good, while sitting on a plastic chair, at far flung locations, with roadside noises nearby for good measure. His death anniversary is in my calendar, and each year I honor him with moments of silence, and a bowl of something good. For years after his passing, I couldn't rewatch his shows; the sound of his voice made me emotional. But this year I was finally able to start watching those episodes again. Thank you for doing this weejo. Please do more react weejos on Uncle Tony's episodes. The 2 of you together is something I would like to see again & again. R.I.P. Mr. Bourdain. We are lost without you.

So sweet and sentimental. Anthony seemed very genuine and curious about the world and he was able to give us a preview and experience of the world and foods in a very unique way. No gimmicks, just realness. He’s missed.

I have suffered from severe depression and anxiety and know exactly what Bourdain was going through in his last moments vividly because of personal experience. He was my hero. He is why I visited Vietnam. Hems why Vietnam is my favorite place and has my favorite cuisine. The only time I cried when someone I didn’t know died was him. I miss him so much.

This was my favorite video of yours you have done so far. Seeing the actual genuine happiness in your eyes even through your character was a really nice treat to witness. Oh man. Tony was so much of what I needed in my growing up year. Every month or two, you remember that he's no more. So much of grit to fight life's turmoil came because hey tony did it, why can't I. And then one fine day all is lost. Miss you my hero.

Anthony was truly one of a kind. He was honest and real when on his adventures. He brought food and culture together and presented it to the world. He was definitely one of my inspirations in wanting to learn about different cultures.

Great video. I loved Bourdain, watched all of his travels, and one of his favourite food destinations was Melbourne, where I live. I've been to Penang countless times, usually have a CKT every morning, an assam laksa, and cendol in the afternoon. My favourite food place on earth. RIP Tony

I know this video is old, but I love seeing how Anthony Bourdain has this ability with words and video to make people so happy about food. Seeing the genuine joy that you have when he's eating and describing your childhood food almost makes me want to cry (it's evoking feelings of homesickness haha). It's just beautiful to see food bring out so many emotions and beautiful memories, and it's great to see others unfamiliar with it also enjoying the experience.

This video make me legitimately emotional. I really miss him so much. I watched his show regularly, it’s his and my dad’s influence that encouraged me to be adventurous with food and I’m FOREVER grateful for it. If not for them, I would be missing out on some of the world’s most wonderful treasures. Rest in peace indeed, Anthony. It breaks my heart how deeply he was hurting. I'm 29, grew up watching his shows on out TV. I've been watching his shows since I was 8, almost daily and I'm very thankful of all the food culture and open-mindedness he gave me, thanks to him I love trying out different cuisines (especially Asian) and he showed me how to appreciate different cultures. I have watched most of your videos and by far this has been my favorite one. Not only is it awesome to see you smile pretty much throughout the video as you reminisce of your childhood. But just hearing Antony Bordain voice again brings back so many memories for me. I hope you do more videos from him. He will always be a legend!
