In this video I'm doing troubleshooting in real time on a Cub Cadet Z Force zero tun mower. The original issue was that the mower would not do anything, no start, no crank, no clicking either, it was completely dead.

Awesome diagnostic, I followed your directions and solved my problems. I discovered the starter solenoid signal wire not making good connection. So I got cranking over, but it would usually make a wining/priming for fuel before it actually starts. I think it's fuel injection but not for sure??? It's a cubcadet proz100. Thanks lmk Thanks lmk

My push to start (RZT) got water in it. Probably from me spraying the dirt and dust off the machine. I pulled the bezel and the "seal" which doesn't seal anything, cleaned it off. dried it out and sprayed a bit of WD40 on it and....PRESTO!

They should be required to have led's on all these "safety" switches that light up when engaged, would add $2 to the cost of a $3000+ dollar mower, and would save customers hours of frustration.

Very instructional. I think mice have chewed at some of the wiring as I've checked the battery and safety switches, and replaced the fuse, solenoid and even ignition switch but still just get a click. Haven't found any damaged wire yet though. BTW in case I need to replace a section of wire do you know the wire specs?

I appreciate your teaching but you need to explain slower. you have done a great job finding the broken wire. First question: why did you turn the key on to test; Second question, I noticed that the tester lead was placed on the Negative post and then later on the Positive post. I hope you understand I have no experience but I am willing to learn. Thanks and God Bless.

Ive got cub cadet rzt42. When i put in key i get display and battery level etc. But when i push the key in it does NOTHING no clicking or anything. Then if i just hold key in, (sometimes) it will try to crack and sometimes crack. Its like flywheel hanging or something. I don't know where to start.
Sometimes i get E-4 error.
