The past three Descendants films have given us plot twist after plot twist, and fans have taken it all in stride. However, one question the films have failed to answer through these plot twists is who exactly the main character Evie’s father is.

While the third film gave us the shocking reveal that Mal was the daughter of not only Maleficent but iconic character Hades as well, we still have no info on her gal pal Evie. And in the descendants books they say that Evie and Mal used to be enemies because of their parents. Maybe their parents hated each other because they both loved Hades!

I have a strong feeling that Evie and Mal are half sisters. It explains how close they are and how only Evie knew Hades was Mal's dad. And in D1, Maleficent and the evil queen seemed pretty close. And Mals hair in D3 did start to change to a purple blue color.

The first theory couldn't happen because Mal says that the villains were sent to the isle twenty years before the time descendants 1 was set. Plus Mal also says she was sixteen when she left the isle. So that means that Evie was born four years after the Isle was created meaning that Evie's dad has to be someone on the isle.

Here's a theory:
Since Evie is the only one (before anyone else) knows Hades is Mal’s dad, it could be hades. Her hair is blue, and since Hades hates Maleficent, he probably cheated and had Evie with Evil Queen. Since Mal and Evie are close friends, and are like sisters, they would be half-sisters.

In the first chapter of one of the four books, it says a quote on quote:
"The isle of the lost was worse than death, and some of the villains there were brought back from the dead so... they should know"

I saw the first movie of this series . . . I was wondering, does Evie ever meet Snow White? Aren't they technically stepsisters? I assume Evie was born on the Isle or perhaps she was a baby when Snow White ran from her stepmother, but I think they would both be interested in meeting each other.

my fave headcannon is that her dad is hades. I mean, first of all, the villains were banished on the isle for 20 years. in the first movie, the four core are all 16 year olds. so they all had to be born after their parents were sent on the isle, right? and honestly I cannot imagine EQ being with anyone else besides the most powerful male there? idk its a nice headcannon.

With Dizzy running the hair shop, their hair doesn't necessarily have to denote their parents. Evie could just like blue hair, just like how Mal changes her hair a lot.

Personally I like the idea that Evie is Gastons daughter because it makes sense that Gaston would want to be with the fairest of them all, plus two of Gastons sons Gaston jr and Gaston the third were really nice towards evie on her first day of high school showing her around and sharing their lunch with her. It's possible that Gaston and the evil queen agreed to separate with Gaston raising the boys and the evie queen raising their only daughter
