Sheryl Swoopes Addresses Her Comments on Caitlin Clark

Sheryl Swoopes addresses the media dispute that was created between her and Caitlin Clark. Her comments about the Iowa College Women's Basketball Star were taken out of context. She had an opinion about putting pressure on young women joining the WNBA and the clip was taken out of context. Sheryl puts the rumors to rest as she thinks Caitlin is one of the greatest college shooters she has ever seen.

Sheryl claimed that Caitlin was a 25 year old (she had just turned 22), breaking records only because she was in her 5th or 6th year of college (Caitlin was in her 4th year of college, she did NOT take her optional Covid year in college basketball), and Caitlin was taking 40 shots per game (it's actually closer to 20 shots). Wrong on all accounts, claimed that because of all these 'facts', none of Cailtins records were legitimate and her skills would not transfer over to the wnba. What a total lack of accountability. That's not stating an opinion, that being uninformed and bitter. I doubt she would appreciate someone stating similar 'opinions' about her sons basketball accomplishments. Just so disappointing, instead of celebrating the growth of women's sports, she's torn down young talent like Caitlin and Angel Reese, claiming they didn't have what it takes.
