I think Swoops is forgetting one critical issue in trying to remain and even be a credible analysist of any WNBA talent. Even with her Hall of Fame statue, she is far removed from the current WNBA fan base. I would dare to say a good number of C.C. fans didn't even know who she was until she put herself front and center with her criticism of Clark and then her obvious complete ignoring Clark's contribution to the rising success of the Fever team. When fans know more about your nasty attitude and pettiness towards their favorite player, and they don't even know about your player accomplishments, it's a bad combination to remain in a position of commentator and analysis.

Geno Auriemma has been trying to downplay Caitlin Clark for years and replace his choice of Paige Bueckers as the star to watch. In high school when he recruited Paige he downplayed Caitlin... when Caitlin was breaking all the NCAA records Geno and the UConn alumni kept saying to the press... If Paige Bueckers had not gotten injured it would be Paige breaking all the records not Caitlin. Geno and UConn alumni at ESPN and in WNBA were always trying to downplay Caitlin and build up Paige. But people could see for themselves and became fans of Caitlin Clark. Fans fell in love with Caitlin for real watching her play. Time for all of them to stop badmouthing Caitlin to build up Paige. Paige did not break the records Caitlin did... and now Paige is taking another year at UConn to try. Swoopes and Geno Auriemma and Diana Taurasi and the UConn alumni need to leave Caitlin Clark alone. Caitlin has never bad mouthed any of them. She has played basketball and worked hard and earned every award by breaking all the records going to a midwest college, the University of Iowa.

I have been an admirer of Swoops since her debut in the WNBA. But her recent performances as an analyst and commentator. Have shown her ugly side. Her jealousy of Clark goes way beyond balanced critique. She has lied about Clark’s age, and years Clark played college basketball. Knowingly. That isn’t simple animosity. She has slid right into full blown racism. Oh, and Cheryl in regards to you truly stupid remark saying Blacks can’t be racist. Then please explain the dishonorable Elijah Muhammad, or the Rev Farrykhan.I truly believed that you were an educated lady. I was wrong on both counts.
