Bruce Dern is such an underrated actor.  He has held his own against the legends.  I am happy people are seeing him for what he is, a master of the craft, yet modest.

So realistically written. Shows how hard it is to see one of your parents grow old n the pain associated with it. Also shows the sickness of greed some people have.

After all these years I revisited this fine movie. First time it left me feeling funny inside a little. Always thought that. I saw it pop up on my Google News feed and I decided to watch it again now. It really opened my eyes now that I’m turning 66 years old and in failing health. Great writing, great actors and great scenes. Just well shot. Thx guys!

I am a Nebraska native, which is why i think i would be too embarrassed to watch this film. I come from a small town, but i don't recall anyone speaking with a dirty south accent. Let's clear something up, even in the small towns, people speak with NEUTRAL accents!!

I'm really interested in the aesthetic decision by filmmakers to shoot their film in black and white in this day and age. Hopefully it adds to the film rather than being wanky, as many people try to be by using it for no reason at all.
