An action-packed fight to the death set in a fairy tale world, “The Princess” is directed by Le-Van Kiet (“Furie”) and stars Emmy Award® nominee Joey King (“The Act,” “The Kissing Booth”) as a beautiful, strong-willed princess who refuses to wed the cruel sociopath to whom she is betrothed, and is kidnapped and locked in a remote tower of her father’s castle. With her scorned, vindictive suitor intent on taking her father’s throne, the princess must protect her family and save the kingdom. The movie also stars Dominic Cooper (“Preacher”), Olga Kurylenko (“Black Widow”), and Veronica Ngo (“The Old Guard”). “The Princess” is directed by Le-Van Kiet, written by Ben Lustig (“The Thirst”) & Jake Thornton (“Final Fantasy”), and produced by Neal H. Moritz (the “Fast and Furious” franchise), Toby Jaffe (“Total Recall”) and Derek Kolstad (“John Wick”), with Joey King and Guy Riedel (“Spectral”) serving as executive producers.

She was really good here. All the action scenes with her was executed wonderfully. Not very deep plot but it was very entertaining and fun. Never thought Joey King would be this good at fight scenes. Really recommend this.

The movie was like watching a video game. Paper thin plot with excellent fight scenes. Joey King was definitely slumming it making this film, as her acting range and abilities far exceed what was asked of her in this. Still a fun watch. Definitely a "turn off your brain and watch the fun" type of movie.

I thought it's gonna be something like a comedy and a bit of violence, and stuffs until I saw someone gets brutally killed 💀and it became full action. No deep story but it is fun and entertaining. Joey's amazing.

This is like Shrek movies... A Shrek live action without Shrek, of course. She is Fiona, definitely!! Actually, I guess it would fit as a version of "What if Shrek didn't save Fiona". Even "Bad Reputation" was part of Shrek soundtrack!! I love it! 🤣 I'm already anxious to watch it.

I just watched it and I think is going to become one of those movies I watch at least once a year when I'm feeling low.
One thing I really appreciate is that they let the women make ugly faces when fighting, we have had too little of that since Xena!

I LOVED this movie! It had a solid plot at least as strong as all the "rescue the princess" movies that have been a staple of the fantasy genre since it began, without being one. The choreography was OUTSTANDING! Joey King brought depth to a role that usually doesn't get that much depth. Dominic Cooper was a little cardboard, but that's appropriate for a sociopathic character. The role reversal was awesome. Great movie!
