This is not almost a major table saw accident. Kickback is rarely a major table saw accident. A major table saw accident is cutting your hand. There is no danger of this from the piece on the opposite side of the blade from the fence. You made it kick back by pressing in from your left side. You probably did that just for the video, but that is nothing, even for kickback. Now if it startled you enough that you bobbled the piece with your right hand, esp. without a riving knife, then you might have had your right hand pulled into the saw and with the blade that high you would have lost all four fingers and maybe half your hand. I think you knew all this and that's why your blade is unnecessarily high and you have no riving knife and you are pressing in with your left hand for no reason whatsoever.

This is why when I use mine. Once I get it 1/4 way through I go to the side and guide it with my fingers clear

First off no riving knife second I would be doing this with my two homemade out of two by fours with handles on them push blocks. I can't believe some people put their hands near the blade. I'm not saying I can't get hurt but I really try not to
