When using DaVinci Resolve for the first time, I had a hard time reading the timecode in the timeline, just wrapping my head around it took some time. It can be bit of a transition especially if you have been using softwares like iMovie. In this video, I want to demystify timecode in DaVinci Resolve and hope it can help you.

Key Takeaways:
0:04 - Understanding timecode components
0:29 - Examples of reading different timecode
1:04 - Understanding Frames per Second
2:00 - Change default starting timecode

Thank youu! I was nervous no one would have a tutorial done on this.
I had to put a timecode in the video I'm currently editing and didn't want it to be messed up. This helped soooo much!

Could modify source material timecode like the timeline to start from 00:00:00, because some of many material record by Gopro. Some of their timecode are mark from that recording time. Not from the 00:00:00.

Oh - nice. I thought the last digits were 1/100th of a second. Thanks for clearing that up!

oh man, thank you so much. i was close to loosing my mind. finally i understand that the last 2 numbers are frames and not tenths of a second. and finally i can remove that stupid 1 hour mark.

How to export the timeline to excel and
just change the time by different photo name and
re import to danvici
because i want to use a datasheet to import my lot of chord photo with different right timing
without waste 30 min hand by hand droping in davci each project.

This was a little confusing at first, but I think is the perfect "we are not vegas or premiere" premise
