Anxiety is a fear response that we all possess that is key to our survival. Clinical anxiety is when our fear response to a given situation is constantly greater than the potential for harm.

Clinical anxiety is persistent and draining. It can get in the way of doing what we love or the simple day-to-day responsibilities we have. This creates a cycle of avoidance followed by anxiety over what we neglect.

When we are preoccupied with anxiety, it is hard to focus on anything or anyone else. As a result, the relationships we cherish can take a back seat and negatively affect those around us who care.

Depression feels like a weight over our mind, body, and spirit. It often takes the things we once loved and turns them into a chore. It is like wearing sunglasses that remove the vibrant colors life offers.

We are seeing unprecedented increases in depression, especially since the pandemic. Stress is what makes any vulnerability we have magnified. Stress levels are higher than ever, and depression is often a natural response.

Julian or Rick. I did once have a much older psychologist. And while I don't think she was a great fit for me in the long run....I could tell she knew what she was doing. And this was when I was questioning my sexuality, too—I was nervous to talk about it with her, but she was totally open minded in a way I guess I didn't expect for her age, but should 100% be expected from any reputable therapist.

I dont think I had enough sessions with her to truly get comfortable, but it still helped and tbh maybe she would've been a good fit had I kept going🤷

I've had them all. The private pay therapist would get her handy credit card reader out and sit next to me at the end of the session. One swipe and there went $150. I saw a therapist close to 70. Her hands would shake. Jesus is my therapist now. For real.

Jesus Christ does save! He is the foundation of Christian Counseling. Although, the style of your therapist should be known/discussed before beginning sessions.
