The censorship is terrible. About half of everyone's prompts on average are being blocked. This includes many innocuous prompts that should not trigger any filters.

it’s gonna be my birthday present for my mom’s birthday, the beginning of the lyrics are the songs her mother sang to her in the 50’s.. She is gonna cry for sure… The result of the AI songs is goood!!!!

The problem with censorship of the image generators is that it not only reduces the ability to create some inappropriate materials but also hinders its overall capabilities. For this reason I find that open source models like stable diffusion still can achieve better and more versatile results even though you need to work a bit longer with them to get what you want and get familiar with many different settings, interfaces and fine-tuned models.

Adult websites already have Category filters for "AI Generated 2d Pics" .. so while some Companies understandably invoke restrictions to protect their own liability, .. this is already a lost battle.

Im just happy I manage to get a few unrestricted images out of it before it got restricted. And they where awesome.

Seen some speculation on Twitter that dalle 3 or at least Bing is inserting more into your prompt.

They tested this by making partial prompts such a "a man holding a sign that says" and submitting.

In all generations, the text of the sign was the same words, something you would not expect from 4 random generations of the submitted prompt.

Interesting tug of war between the censored corporate models and uncensored open source. As long as corporate models have better quality or more features they can stay slightly ahead. But we will reach a point where both sides quality is so good that further improvements won’t be noticeable to the majority of people. What do censored models do then to avoid being irrelevant?

Photoshop has existed for ages. Companies might decide to impose restrictions to reduce legal risks, but that mostly helps no one but the companies themselves.

Welp, only 10 months to go from great to amazing to completely unusable. Only four out of twenty-six prompts I tried resulted in any images at all, with the rest being blocked for "unsafe content". Yesterday I saw it block a prompt because I added the word "beautiful". It literally thinks beauty is unsafe.
