How to fix scratchy sound?

- To fix scratchy sound playing the violin follow this steps:

🎻1. Check the position of the bow on the string- maybe you just play too close to the bridge which makes the sound scratchy.
🎻2. Adjust your bow pressure : experiment with different amounts of bow pressure. Avoid pressing too much as it may create a harsh sound. At the same time pressing too lightly can result in weak sound.
🎻3. Work on bow speed and bow control.
🎻4. Monitor the bow angle : experiment with slight adjustments in bow angle to find the position that produces a smoother tone.
🎻5. Rosin your bow properly: avoid applying too much rosin, as it can create a scratchy sound.
