If you’ve ever shopped at Aldi, you know that the prices are ridiculously cheap. They don’t carry a lot of brand names, and they limit the size of the store and the number of employees in the name of getting you to save more money. However, you may have wondered how the cheese at Aldi is able to be sold at such a low price. Are you sacrificing quality when you purchase your cheese at Aldi, or is it just as good as the stuff you’d get somewhere else? Let’s take a look at the real reason why Aldi’s cheese is so cheap.

Plus they don't have to pay royalties to third-party brands.

Sister used to be a manager at Aldi. A few other "name brands" under Aldi labels
Ketchup - Heinz
White label BBQ sauce - Sweet Baby Ray's
Flour - King Arthur/Gold Medal
Mayonnaise - Hellmans
Mustard - French's
Salad Dressing - Wishbone
Bacon - Williams

Reliably informed that the exclusive Stilton cheeses made by Cropwell bishop creamery is available in Trader Joes in the USA. I can go straight to the shop about 4 miles away and the Beauvale is fabulous.

I’m pretty sure some of TJ’s frozen pizzas and burritos are just repackaged Amy’s Kitchen.

Aldi statistically has the highest quality food for the cheapest price. My local one gets so much business that they can definitely compete with other major retailers. Aldi’s scorpion pepper gouda is my favorite cheese ever.

Their cheese is cheap because it's loaded with oil and additives. It's some of the worst cheese I've eaten. Simple, effective and didn't take 10 minutes to explain. Trader Joe's products are generally higher quality than whatever Aldi can source.
