One of the BEST videos I’ve seen to date!! You saved me an EASY THOUSAND bucks from a “numb-nut know it all” who KNEW how to prime the pump on my new pool. This EXACT pump. He did NOT know. In fact he did everything wrong and I saw the water boiling and kicked his arse out and then found your video. He has a pool too. And it worked. One tip I would add is to first fill the drain line up with water from your hose, then close the line. Same with the skimmer line. A lot of air in those lines, especially at season start-up.
