Another AMAZING talisman for the build is “Blade of Mercy” which gives a 20% damage increase for 20 seconds after you crit an opponent (which you will do all the time with how much stance damage this build has)

In this build you’ll be using Greatblade Phalanx along with the ash of war along with the stonebarb cracked tear. Because of this you will be constantly stance breaking bosses you’ll pretty much always have this buff up. Along with that, run a secondary dagger to swap to for the crit as you’ll do significantly more damage (every weapon has a specific crit modifier and daggers do the most).

Also for those who kept reading I’ve been running this build with the inferior version for a long time (Carian Grandeur) and you’ll want the Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman as well since you’ll be tanking a good amount of shots.

Oh also holding the Carian Glintblade Staff in your offhand makes the sword art do more damage (another 15% damage boost)

Some small constructive criticism --- You should always show your menu screen when doing these videos. Half of your audience will always be visual learner types & it's not enjoyable consuming your content without any footage of the equip menus open.

I would put the stamina talisman as a MUST. This ash of war eats stamina for breakfast

I have a carian knight build with this. For spells I use all the sword sorceries. a fully charged piercer will send npcs flying and you can follow up with the aow. You can have them stuck in a loop this way. Its super BM build and its so much fun. I recommend it with the milady for the fun moveset for trash mobs and a magic claymore for the hyperarmor

7:10 Two cents: you might also want to memorize Greatblade Phalanx to pile on stance damage, like with bosses.

I just found out that if you infuse this ash of war into a greatsword it will increase your poise during the charge up. Haven't tested it out versus any bosses yet but it's worth a shot :)

Been using this on Claymore and Knights GS. Great way to fight the fire visage golems in the field. Im also using the 2 handed talisman for more damage and because you do more stagger with 2 handed R2. A mixture of the AoW and charged R2 is a great way to bring those walking wicker baskets on fire down.
Was using Lion claw and the new savage lion claw before and it was good, but this hits harder in every way (you just have to find time to fully charge it).

I put it on a dagger and it still does damage but barely any stance damage, even with cracked tear and multiple charged hits I didn't break stance, definitely use it on heavier weapons

It wont be nerfed, frenzy perfume bottle does about 3 to 5 times the dps then this does.

I beleive that mage is kind of left behind in dlc so nerf ash of war it will be stupid since it is slow and does not have so much hyper armor as you said i tried to use it mobs break it for fun and the only way to land it is timing which is a bit difficult for novice players.
