Honestly this ash of war derailed my entire mage build the first time I found it on the Carian Knight Sword. It was just so FUN to use! I main greatsword in World and Iceborne so the timing on the three levels of charge felt absolutely natural. I quickly tracked down the carian knight armor and the shield and had a grand old time playing as one of the Enchanted Knights in the lore. This was before they buffed the weapon art, and I was using a weapon most considered sub-par due to the scaling, but I didn't much care. After the buffs, it's only gotten more fun to use.

did a battle mage build with this ash of war on both swords (the carian knight sword and the Lord sworn straight sword) set to frost, and it absolutely wrecked. such a fun playthrough

My recommendation for PvP is lead tear in phisik. Gives you 10 seconds of giga poise, which makes it the ultimate trade machine. Also level 2 and 3 have a surprising amount of range, so anything short of whips and lances you can out space.

When I was trying to run through and find a set of weapons I liked to play with this has always been on my list. You can really catch someone out with the back step and 1st stage stage to kick ass.

I was so focused on the ranni questline and the fact that seluvis was a jerk that I ignored him, and now I can't get the scorpion charm because ranni killed him...I'm actually really sad about that.

Awesome idea, I’ve collected the AOW and the weapon it comes in, I think the Carian Knight Sword - but have yet to try it in earnest. It’s all in the physik and fully committing the talisman slots to make it pop (and Terra Magica)…but definitely worth a go.

I put this on a Bandit's Curved Sword (got it in Weeping Peninsula, lucky 3rd try), and off-hand the Serpent God's Curved Sword with Hoarfrost imbued. Great combo, does great damage, and allows me to keep up more flasks for FP to use this and also for regular casting because of the health regen on the Serpent God's Curved Sword. You could also pick up the Sacrificial Axe as a secondary offhand if you're looking to regain some FP from your casts or main-hand damage.

Next duo video idea: Hoslow brothers. One can be Juno with dual whips and bloodhounds step and the other can Diallos using jar attacks and the jar cannon

Second Idea: Ranni and Rennala
Full moon casts, full mage spam, imagine the chaos

Final idea: D and Rogier. Rogier says they traveled together and used to be a dual threat. Rogier can use his Rapier with many defence and sword type spells, and Darian (D) can use order incantations and a knife for the fia questline
